Living with Chest Pain We wish to find out about how chest pain affects patients with heart disease. We are looking for patients who are Either male or female, and 18 years of age or older Have been diagnosed with a heart condition Are in regular contact with medical care  (clinic, hospital outpatient department, or G.P.) Have chest pain from time to time If you meet this description we would be very grateful if you could spend 15-20 minutes completing this questionnaire.

The research is being carried out by Northumbria University and PRO Consulting, and aims to develop ways of assessing the effect of heart conditions on patients' lives so that the effects new treatments can be studied better. You will not be asked for any information from which you can be identified, and all data will be stored and analysed in an anonymous manner. Please be aware, though, that due to the nature of the web no absolute guarantee of confidentiality can be given.

Data will be stored and analysed by invivodata inc., P ittsburgh PA, USA. The study has been reviewed and passed by the Northumbria University Division of Psychology Ethics Committee. If you decide while doing the questionnaire that you do not wish to complete it, you may use the quit button, or simply close your browser window. No data will be sent to us until you confirm completion by pressing the submit button at the end of the questionnaire.
